A fine art artist has a vision of what they think their work will look like. Fine art is about an idea, a message, or an emotion. The artist has something that they want to have conveyed in their work. Fine art photography makes beautiful wall art. Due to high quality archival products, it becomes an heirloom that is passed down generation after generation.
Recently I was home visiting my parents and helping my mom with an estate sale for my Grandparents. As I walked around and looked at all of the stuff piled on tables and labeled with little white stickers marked for sale my Mom suggested that I select a few things to remember my Grandparents by. I picked up a few dishes and a set of candle sticks, but the thing that I wanted the most could not be found on those tables, they were hanging on the walls, they were slipped into albums and stuffed into shoe boxes. Grandma’s photos; the items I wanted most of all were priceless to me.
